Sometimes , you thrive to be perfect, perfect in every aspect of life. Sometimes we thrive to be perfect by pleasing others just because we want be perfect in keeping them happy , as a result you tend becoming a people pleaser rather than your own selves.
Take it career , you become from being career focused to money focused. When it comes to dealing daily activities of life you become buying in the opinion of all people around you : parents, children, family and friends etc. But if you trace it back , you wanted to be perfect and now you are so distracted with all other things in life . So Jesus in the Bible gives us a simply solution to be perfect . He simply says “ if you want to be perfect… come follow me” !
So, to be perfect I need to simply shift my focus from me to Him. My focus should be listening to Him , hearing His voice and following His guidance.
Definition of Perfection according to bible is, to have the spiritual maturity that accompanies godly character with no moral or ethical deficiencies.
When you let go the desires in you that suppress the voice of God in you : that’s the ultimate perfection you have achieved. When your spirit is in sync with the spirit of your creator , when your motivations and agendas are in sync with Jesus and His word , you are perfecting yourselves . This is not easy, yes sometimes you have let go the voices of your parents , children , family and sometimes even shift jobs to follow Him. The beauty is , when you strive to follow Him and perfect yourself by following Him , He promises the greater rewards for us . The Bible says : “And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.”
You will receive a hundred times as much in return for all that you have to let go in following Him. Isn’t this amazing that our God is a rewarding God. Every minutest step we take in obeying Him – He rewards us . Even when we strive to be perfect in Him – He rewards us.
Let’s strive to make our Perfection to be complete in Him who not only satisfies by fulfilling our desires but also satisfies our soul.

Father in Jesus help me to follow you and be perfect and complete in you in Jesus name amen.
