Don’t be a fool

Now a days getting annoyed is so easy with our busy schedules. During the course of this schedule as we navigate through the busy chaos of the day , it’s easy to get offended , it’s easy to get angry and burst out all feelings and yell or complain at loved ones or people around us. As we think about these anger management or feelings management , how do we handle them, how to overcome them ? Bible differentiates people who are very good at managing anger as wise and who don’t as fools. Let’s see how a fool handles anger vs wise from the Bible.

Fool/stupid/rebel:

utters all his mind

always looses his anger and displays it

Full vent of his anger

Show all their anger

Vents out all his feelings ( I don’t have say whatever I feel , every thought I feel !!)

Quick to express their anger

Cannot control their anger

Vents all their emotions

Let nothing go unexpressed

Let all their spirit out

Express their anger openly

Loose temper

Gives out all his breath

Shouts out anger

Let’s all his anger hang out

Flies with his anger

Let their anger run wild

Pours out his whole mind

Doesn’t think before unleashing his anger

Why?

because he is short sighted

He has no self control

Doesn’t have insight into future

Wise/sage :

keeps it until afterwards

Keeps it back and stills it

Uses self control and holds it back

Holds it in check

Sensible and patient

Calmly restrains anger

Quiet things out

Brings their own emotions to rest

Cool their temper

Quietly mulls it out

Bide their time

Keep quiet

Remain quiet

Delays anger

Reserves anger

What should I do ?

learn self control

Be Futuristic, think of the consequences

Be patient and sensible to your spirit man

Take time for second thought always

Be wise and learn to demonstrate self control over your mouth

How to overcome anger?

use Gods greatest weapon of all “LOVE”

Choose to forgive and forget every hurt against anyone

Romans 5:5 (AMP) says, “Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

when Love is abundantly poured out in our hearts – why should I hold it back ? – I need to able to mindful of the fact that love is poured out in me and I can open the gate and allow it flow through every angry situation and let it release its power into my circumstances and see Love work. “ Be still and know that I am God”, says the word. I need to be still and see Love ( GOD is love) work.

Paul commanded us to do the same thing in Ephesians 4:32:

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”.

be kind to one another

Be tender hearted

Forgive one another

Prayer :

Father in Jesus name , help me to be a wise person to control my feelings and emotions and to walk in your love with those around me in Jesus Name amen.
